I'm on the left side of the political spectrum, and I find it fascinating when right-wingers spot "ultra-left bias" in forums that I find balanced or right-leaning.

Yup. It does entertain me, especially as my own experience of HN is center-right at best.

HN can be pretty schizophrenic. It often seems to switch depending on the topic, and topics where the various 'groups' collide can be very interesting (or frustrating).

I like that kind of diversity as long as it doesn't lead to flamewars.

In case this isn't sarcasm: Do you think the articles about trump are balanced? Or about the so called "refugee crisis"?

Trump is a tough call. For all I know, there is a decent chance he actually is a deplorable narcisstic idiot. It's a hypothesis that fits the evidence available to me. There are other hypotheses that do this as well.

Maybe your opinion on him is based on the only evidence you are allowed to see.

Refugees kinda same. There's much less about it on HN, but when it's all rainbows whereas it's a disaster on par with a world war
