Although not for the faint of heart, the work Thorn does is incredible. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to transition to a 'higher, real-world' impact role to look at this!

Wow - this is exactly the kind of work I want to do. For two decades I've been writing boring software to make rich people richer. I've been looking for a way to use my experience for something that really helps people. It makes me wonder if there is a list of dev/tech opportunities for similarly impactful organizations.

Thanks. I'd never seen those sites before and they're what I'm interested in!

Agreed, they're my smile.amazon.com charity!

I'm interested to see if they're ever looking for offensive security people.
