what a load of crap. Windows is the only OS that can play modern PC games reliably. There are millions of homes with Windows 10 PCs, and your article sounds extremely desperate.
Agreed. I've been using Linux exclusively on my desktop for the past......4 years or so. I'm on the verge of building a new desktop with a Ryzen APU because I have a bunch of games that I want to play. Steam on Linux is amazing but still no comparison to running Windows on a machine.
I recommend looking into VFIO. IIRC it's not quite possible with the Ryzen APUs yet but you can use a dGPU for the guest system.
Ten years ago everyone had a Windows PC, even if they only did light word processing and web browsing. That’s just not true anymore. Windows remains the only viable platform for PC gaming, but the difference is that it used to be the only viable platform for any number of tasks, and few of them remains. There are of course millions upon millions of pc gamers, but relatively speaking that’s still a niche market. It remains to be seen if Microsoft will care about maintaining Windows as a gaming platform when that’s all there is, considering that they do have the Xbox.
