It shows that Uber is the exact same company it's been for years. Nothing has changed.

For something this safety critical, you want the software engineering quality of Boeing, NASA, etc. This type of mistake is pretty inexcusable.

Even more egregious that the governor, Doug Ducey, was happy to issue executive orders to waive any safety oversight to allow Uber to put the public at risk in the first place.[0]

AZ decided regulations were unnecessary overhead.

Or maybe people hand waved around software review saying "its fiiiiine" leveraging trust or .. $trust$
