Ask HN: Analytics Implementation Engineer – what skills?

Aside from the generic front end developer, tag manager, analytic system skills - what would you look for when hiring someone to instrument multiple sites?

They would not be doing the analysis - but working with a dedicated analyst to develop a measurement plan and troubleshoot it once in place.

Have you ever hired such a person? What did you find helpful? What would you have done differently?
