Ask HN: How do you keep your data clean? Resources?

We have an ERP system with partial client data stored. The ERP system doesn't have an API or is very customizable. We can't store everything. Nor can we store it in the type of hierarchy we need to.

We've have provisionally started using Less Annoying CRM (www.lessannoyingcrm.com) for our sales team and also have a Mailchimp email list.

1. Mailchimp list contains 70% different information compared to the ERP. It contains multiple SALES contacts per company.

2. ERP really only contains billing information, phone and maybe one BILLING contact.

3. CRM is being tested out, but there is hesitation in using it, because it means keeping two, maybe three, data sources synced.

This does not wholly fall into the technical spectrum as its a process issue as well.

But as of now, how do you recommend I consolidate this data and what sort of process can be used to keep this data clean, organized and synced?

What would you do in my shoes?
