Ask HN: For community apps, how long did you seed content?

We've been building Huttle (https://www.huttle.co), which is a community for career help and finding entry-level jobs and internships, and we are starting to bring in more users to the site through SEO, email, content, etc. But, similar to the Reddit founding story, we are seeding some content to make the community look more active.

For those of you who have built community apps, did you seed content? And if so, how long did you seed content before user and content growth was steady enough that you didn't have to seed content anymore?
