Ask HN: How can I become smarter?

I asked this question roughly 7.6 years ago, and would like to see if anythings changed.

How can I become smarter?

Read books. (not kidding)

Any books, not just non-fiction. (Well, maybe not romance novels.) Reading gets you thinking and that can lead you to learn about things you don't know, re-evaluate your position on something, etc.

You can't yet exceed your innate intelligence.

Put on your shorts and go exercise
