A diet which is a subset of another diet can still be classified as a diet of that type, at least that’s how I think of it.

Diets are important in what they exclude.

In fact, that’s generally the entire motivation behind distinguishing a diet in the first place.

I agree. All meat is too extreme... What makes low carb diets great is that they exclude grains and sugar which are the real problem.
