Ask HN: How do you find collaborators for side projects?

I'm a relatively new developer and would love to meet other developers and start collaborating on side projects (that could potentially turn into startups).

Does anyone have advice for finding other developers with the same interests as far as topic as well as language/frameworks? What has worked well for you?
