> Replace "men" with "women"
This just doesn't work most of the time. For example, compare the two sentences:
"A woman chased a man into the woods."
"A man chased a woman into the woods."
Just swapping the gender has a completely different connotation. Because gender dynamics are different in the world, you can't swap any generalization and say, "It's equivalent."
"Women don't see men as human" would, I guarantee, not create much of an outcry because it's a generalization with no underlying truth.
