Ask HN: What is now (end of 2017) the best place to host Static site content?

Now that we're at the end of 2017 here, I'm curious what the best / cheapest (free?) place that people are using to host static content or entire websites (single page) for their app or assets for their mobile or website apps. If one wanted to host the website / landing page for their web app as well as the web-based dashboards for their app somewhere and not bother with self-hosting and such, where should folks do it? Looking for current best recommendations.
