The tone of the original Medium post shows that this was meant as a joke with very outlandish claims. For bloomberg to cover it as a news items is hilarious. But to get this voted up on HN is even more surprising.
This rumor is so lame. Kinda like calling Musk “Tony Stark”. God I cringe just typing that.
The blind hero worship surrounding Musk is extreme, and Gupta's post is a prime example of that.
Nobody would have suggested Steve Jobs or Paul Graham were Nakamoto, and they're the people I can think of worshipped just a bit less than Musk.

Nick Szabo is a credible guess, but it's just a guess. Nakamoto was very good about protecting his identity.
