it's just a matter of time when such websites will appear using HTML5. The root of the problem is not the technology, it's misuse of it.
Most of the people making these hideous Flash sites can't code, which is demonstrated by the fact that often there's not even a fallback page -- the creators somehow assume that everyone in the world uses Flash Player.
