Ask HN: Is there a good alternative to craigslist for finding rooms/housing?

It used to be that craigslist was the best resource or this, but I'm just wondering if any better alternatives have shown up in recent years. Not necessarily looking for an apartment to rent, but maybe just a room for rent or something less traditional.

Something specific to Bay Area housing could be useful also.
