Your comment reminds me of a documentary about bike gangs and mafia rivalry. As it turns out, people prefer having the bike gangs take over mafia businesses. Even though they are more or less the same, the former delivers its "services" in a cleaner and cheaper way.

I guess we can say the same here too.
