About time North America adapted to this new reality: Kids in Countries like Pakistan (and I reckon in China and India) as young as 3 year old are being pushed into learning reading/writing and from age of 4 onwards, they are learning basic arithmetic.
If we North Americans want to compete with them, we have train for it accordingly.
