A Simple Chrome Extension to help you increase your productivity by 10x

producthunt.com

Hey HN,

Me and my friend have been working on a side project for quite some time and I am excited to put it out in the world today. This is a Chrome Extension to help people increase their productivity and focus by 10x. We're doing this by: 1. tracking active time on website(s) the user been working on and showing that data every time they open a New Tab. 2. Nudging users via Push Notifications when they lose focus and start surfing website(s) they define unproductive. See a demo here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu0ktytoAhc

It's currently in beta and we're going to launch next month. If you like the idea and would like to get early beta access, feel free to subscribe via Product Hunt (https://www.producthunt.com/upcoming/rooster) or from the home page we've built (www.getrooster.in)

Please provide feedback or any insight. HN people always help in more ways we can think of

Looks interesting, and I've been wanting something like this for a while.

Would it be possible to add an option to whitelist sites that are productive instead of just blacklisting ones that are not?

Hey, yes, this is in the pipeline and have been requested by other users as well. Also, for clarity can you elaborate on what you have in mind for whitelisting feature?

tried both ways to get the extension, still no clear way how to get this installed/downloaded and no subsequent emails

prob should iron this out to prevent people with low/no patience like me from moving on to the next thing

Hey Mark, this is in beta phase and we're going to launch next week. You can subscribe and we'll send you an email with the download link when we launch. Makes sens?

going to try this out, I like the clean look of the interface so far

Thanks Mark. Feel free ping me (reachrooster@gmail.com) for any feedback and to share this across too :)
