I'm willing to give her a pass on that as pandering to the Republican base (remember she ran for Governor), because the few interactions I had with her indicated that her personal feelings are much more moderate.

What a leader!

The American people have made it very clear they like to be pandered and lied to. People love to blame politicians, which I find rather odd given the more than ample evidence that in our democratic system they are just telling us what we want to hear.

I think it is alright to have doubts on marijuana legalization as long as you can have some facts on your side. But reasonable voters giving a pass because the candidate might be pandering to extremists now and will not act on it when elected in future is bs. This is what got Trump elected (look at recent pardon of Joe Arapaio, putting idiots in charge of all scientific bodies, etc.).
