Very well written and fair article. But Pichai shouldn't resign.

Completely agree. Modern thought about societies focuses so much on the tremendous force of general trends on our lives that we forget how influential singular figures at critical moments in history are.

This is the second article, the first was by the Economist, arguing - coherently - that firing Damore was not the right thing to do. The problem of course is that what Damore wrote - assuming its actually scientifically accurate - is very easy to mischaracterise.

Absolutely, he is a hypocrite. Same with Sheril Sandberg - if she really wants to change the world , she can start by equalizing the women and contractors pay at Facebook, but it will never happen, because the money are more important for them, the rest is pure BS
