Google abruptly cancels gender issues meeting, employees afraid to ask questions

Yeah this title makes it sound like they're afraid of consequences from Google. But it's actually because of being afraid of external attention, given the consistency of leaks on this whole thing.

Is it not? How did you interpret the article?

Edit: Fear not, downvoters, I'm just asking a question, not challenging your beliefs.

The mods (or somebody) are actively suppressing this story and all other stories about James. It's reasonable; they are probably trying to keep it from distracting us from what this board is generally for. But perhaps they could make a sticky or something about it.

Or maybe because its employees feared being doxxed for participating:

Can you share a link? Is love to know where that number came from. I'm personally incredulous that someone could be fired over such a reasonable letter, even if their conclusions were incorrect.
