Fun fact, there is a very healthy after-market for the iPod shuffle among swimmers.

The device can be easily and robustly waterproofed and is small enough to clip to your goggles. I expect many of these 3rd party companies will be buying up remaining shuffle lots.

But what sort of earphones can you wear while swimming that don't fall out?

I think IEMs that have a waterproof shell would work. They create an air-tight seal with your ear.

There's a type of earphone that utilises bone conduction.

I hear they're generally waterproof
