Yeah, us white men have done some amazing things. But let's not pretend we're not playing the game of life on the lowest difficulty level.
You can't say "some cops are racist" or "there are violent black people in the ghetto" without the entire argument devolving into a quagmire about how you were blaming a race(or a profession) and then the accuser quickly shifts back to using broad arguments for those groups anyways. Political attacks at Bernie Sanders were directed at his 'Bernie-bros' and all Trump supporters are racist white males too.
I'm going to have to read more about Hemmingway's comment "those dirty, easy labels", I have my own accusation in my friend group when I think we're falling into reductive arguments, "pretty, little boxes." The world is messy, abstractions can only take it so far.
