Sonm.io ICO, crowdfunded supercomputer to compete with AWS

https://sonm.io/

Their goal is to create a decentralised worldwide supercomputer where anyone can connect their computing power to the network and gets rewarded by the computing power consumers (rendering jobs, ML training etc.)

Disclaimer Im not affiliated with them or hold any token from the ICO.

I wonder what hn thinks about them.

To me it seems that their goal is super hard to achieve if at all. I also wonder if such a distributed supercomputer can even perform most tasks, network delays would surely be a problem for many tasks.
