How do you know they're not doing it because they're not ready to retire? Why does everyone instantly believe someone working a remedial job in their 70s hates it? I strongly suspect by 70 I won't want to do what I'm doing now, too much stress, and if I'm not ready to retire it'd likely be low-key, undemanding work.
