Ask HN: "I'm sure that'll be really easy"
I don't want to keep explaining the difficulty of stuff, because it makes me seem incompetent. And lots of stuff isn't actually hard, it's just time-consuming. More than that though, the easy stuff may be easy for me, but it's not necessarily "easy", and I feel undervalued to hear it being described that way.
I usually just go off and do it, but then I think I'm making it look too easy. When you've spent hours working on a feature, and you finally get it right, and you're really excited, but your co-founder stares at it blankly and then wants to change everything, it can get a little discouraging.
How do you explain this stuff to someone who's never coded?
