Hacker News Reader

3 points, no discussion, only 4 hours old and ranked 19? Is the ranking algorithm at HN broke?

Weekend rankings are a different beast, my friend.

And then I get downvoted 5 times for pointing it out! Is that the number of Mods at HN?

And doesn't even have anything to do with hacking or technology or even startups. Wish I could down vote stories.

There's no rule that HN submissions must be related to hacking or technology or startups. Best thing is just to ignore stories you're not interested in, or flag them if you think they are really inappropriate (but not just because you find them uninteresting).

> On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity.

> Please don't submit comments complaining that a submission is inappropriate for the site. If you think a story is spam or off-topic, flag it by clicking on its 'flag' link.

I just upvote the next ten lower stories when I want to downvote one.
