Melinda Gates and Fei-Fei Li Want to Liberate AI from “Guys with Hoodies”

I feel like "guys with hoodies" is a poor choice of words for the title given I immediately thought of Trevon after reading them.

If this gets more people to think about and work on safe AI (because as it stands almost nobody does), I'm all for it.

If the safe AI problem isn't solved by the time AGI arrives, I fear ending up with something equivalent to Skynet would be among our best outcomes.
