My motivation has always been family. Making enough money so my dad doesn't have to work any more and can retire comfortably without worrying about bills or medical expenses. Making my parents proud. Helping my extended family and my community, and just having the financial security to support any of my family and friends through an emergency.
You should be able to do that by taking a steady job in a more established company, not in a startup. And there is nothing wrong with that. My experience is that entrepreneurship is somewhat of an addiction anyway. Good luck.
