Ask YC: How did you name your startup?

I've been having trouble naming my startup (or renaming). I'm wondering how you guys came up with your name, what criteria you used, and how long it took?

I am working on that right now. Something that is easy to remember - easy to spell correctly - and creative...

Are you just thinking of names? Or do you do something like making a list of words related to your startup, and then combining them to see what works (and isn't taken)?

I start with names related to the concept but it always seems to morph into names that aren't related. I end up pulling words out of my brain and then break them apart and put them together in different forms. I also use a thesaurus to find other meanings for words...
