Merkel had to explain the 'fundamentals' of EU trade to Trump 11 times

So the president of a country on a different continent must know all the laws of all other countries in the world?

Trump is pretty openly pushing for bilateral trade, this should not surprise anyone. The fact that Germany has other arrangements and won't change that until the EU dissolves is their problem. It doesn't suggest that Trump is stupid.

Before everyone hates on me for "voting for Trump"... I'm not an American. I'm just sick of US publications ripping on this president for pedantic shit like this.
