To be honest, though, I think the author recognises that, which is why he specifically praises MdI in his post. Knowing that he's tired and just plain pissed-off with both platforms explains both. You're right, he doesn't come out of it well, but I've certainly had days and even months when I've felt like that, and he's making the right decision: he's moving away from something that is, for him, toxic.
