Uber Coins Terms ‘Jewbers’ and ‘UberHUE’ in New Diversity Report

As much fun as it is to pile on Uber these days these are employee resource groups, created by and run by the employees. I've had these at lots of places I've worked, for women, LGBTQ, etc and they're mainly a mailing list, maybe a slack room these days, and maybe a monthly meeting/meetup. This is not some huge corporate racist conspiracy.

Based on the article it sounds like the employees themselves might have come up with those names.

Terms like this are tricky because it depends a lot on who came up with it. If a group of Jewish employees start calling themselves "Jewbers," that's really different from if management or HR at Uber did it.

Oh my god, I was reading and thinking "I hope they don't use Los Uberos for Latinos" but they totally came within one letter of that!

Uber doesn't bend over for the social justice establishment that controls the media, so they will continue to attack Uber even for the exact same things their poster-boy companies like Google do. How is an Uber Jewber more offensive than a Jewgler Googler?

How about instead of making all sorts of dumb websites, and diversity programs, they just HIRE a diverse crowd and PAY them fairly?
