Until Uber has self-driving cars, there's nothing to prevent local competitors from running a few subway ads and getting enough iOS installs to keep prices down. And unlike national competitors, which require hundreds of millions of dollars, local competitors can be run on the cheap. So even if Lyft goes bankrupt, I doubt that will have much impact on prices.
