In fact when passing the Immigration Act of 1965 (untill then only few hundred indians/Chinese were allowed.) The then president sought to reassure people that country won't be overrun by Indians.

Even within American lawmakers the current per country system is considered a mistake and several legislations including the comprehensive immigration reform passed by Senate in 2013 eliminated it.
The PERM process in itself takes 6 months.

You're answer to raitom is uninformed bullshit, with a patronizing and insulting tone on the top. I'm well aware of the process, I went through it. I'm telling you Europeans need H1b as much as Indians or Chinese do in order to work in US.
I dont understand why people (who are not Indian or chinese) cannot spare 2 years to get a masters degree and take this step, instead of risking H1b lottery and take the long winded road to work in US.
