I'd recommend getting familiar with Windows, Mac, and UNIX/Linux environments. A lot more opportunities open up to you when you're competent in each of the Big Three operating systems; you don't have to be a guru, just be experienced enough to work comfortably in any of them.
It also gives you a chance to personally evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and to see the design tradeoffs.
