Ask HN: Is there an app that lets you organise a workplace union?

I'm curious – why haven't unions been 'disrupted' by apps? Unless I've missed it, nobody's created an app that lets you create and run a union the same way you'd spin up a Yammer or Slack group. I would welcome any thoughts on this. Personally, I've never paid any attention to workplace unions before – but if joining and participating was like using Facebook for Work, I might.
