Has Facebook's Active User Growth Dropped 25% to 50%?

It seems as if it's mostly tech savvy people quitting Facebook, right? What percentage of this group are web developers?

I was talking to a friend of mine who stopped using Facebook a few weeks back, only to sign up for a new account (throw-away) a few days later in order to implement something Facebook related for a client.

Whatever they say, the "We've reached 450 million users" blog post is at least a month overdue, either they are not reporting it or haven't reached it yet.

could it be related to Norvig's law? "Any technology that surpasses 50% penetration will never double again (in any number of months)". A drop in growth could mean that all the world became suddenly worried about privacy, sure. But it could also mean that Facebook is reaching the possible growth limit in certain countries.

everything peaks.
