The author mentioned that they were meeting with them on a regular basis to teach them coding. I would assume that it is the responsibility of a teacher to keep up with what their student is learning. Not stalkerish or creepy at all; purely professional if you ask me.
I think they could have flagged the employer a little earlier though. I would have told my inside source about Bryan's actions before he even landed the job. That kind of shit is just not acceptable.
I'm pretty sure that's what most people do to other people's blogs.

He was supposed to be a mentor (role agreed to by both parts). Checking on his blog, github and linkedin accounts is not obsessive. If my guitar teacher would regularly check on my progress and provide insights on my public compositions, I would be pretty grateful for wasting his time with a two dime player like me.
