Ask HN: Have you ever been on a Design Sprint week? How was it?

The design sprint is "a five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers" (http://www.gv.com/sprint/).

The team I'm in wants a formal method to design, prototype and test ideas with potential customers. It would be great to hear if people from different companies have been running design sprints successfully and what they learned.
