There are a couple of really annoying aspects to this article. One, its promoting a feature (css grid) that's got very little support in practical use today over another feature (flexbox) that, while perhaps imperfect, is mostly here, now, and is worlds better than what came before. Secondly, this article is almost 3 years old and its promoting a feature that's got very little support in practical use today.
JS can be a real sh*tshow sometimes, I'll grant you. But holy effing hell, CSS, get it together. Grid systems are not a new thing. Its a travesty there's no standards-based support for them yet.
