I'm not sure what that's going to accomplish, even if Russia hacked the DNC, they simply exposed corruption. What's going to be achieved by shooting the messenger?

In all sincerity, is there something I'm missing?

The idea that Russian hacks of the DNC and John Podesta were benevolent or positive might be a Twitter trope, but it bears no relationship to reality, where decontextualized emails did little but create (often absurd) conspiracy theories that drowned out the news cycle.

But your comment also presupposes that hacks of the DNC are the only thing the administration is investigating.
