Still nobody was able to explain me how this would be possible.

Not even the secret agency in my country is allowed to do that to me. How can the FBI claim they can do that "legally" now.

Under which legal base should this be legal? Which legal base allows them to overwrite my local laws? I really dont get it.

I realize they dont care, but nether do i have to care when they cant use anything against me legally anyway.

spying is illegal yet everyone spies everyone, how can you explain that?

thats different, they can only spy on me when i use their resources. Traffic that never leaves my country (unlikely & rare) should theoretically not be spied on. Also is spying actual illegal?

It's the other way around. The laws in your country have no authority over the FBI.

We spy on you, you spy on us. Then let's trade information (withholding the juicy bits for ourselves of course). Say it with me everyone: loopholes!

Not that something being illegal has ever stopped governments before.

I am not implying that. It just really annoys me that major media outlets use "legally" and "hacking the world" in the same sentence as if the U.S. were some kind of super power above the law.

They took themself the right to hack everyone would be way more reflecting reality.

That is exactly what does not make sense to me. That would assume the FBI is some kind of world super power, which i am sure they like to think of themself.

The FBI isn't a world super power, but the government they are apart of it. What can country X do about the FBI hacking their citizens if the agency has the backing of the United States? Nothing really.

That is basically a act of war then isnt it? Definitly not "legally hacking the whole world". Even if they legally hacked my computer, they illegally hacked into my computer. I see no reason why i couldnt sue them about this (sure that would be laughed at, but still no is no "except the U.S. wants that" written on my local law)

Also please go tell this to Russia or China or any other country the U.S. heavily depends on for their economy.

Edit:// Except for keeping the dollar stable because that would influence our economy as well, i dont see how switzerland is depending on the U.S. a lot. China, that would be a real issue tho.
