Tempting to embrace Rick... "Listen, I'm not the nicest guy in the universe, because I'm the smartest, and being nice is something stupid people do to hedge their bets." Yes, totally agree... people are miserable to deal with.

But it's probably more productive to read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" -- will lead to you being able to accomplish more of your goals, and probably being a happier person as a result.

We pick our battles... if the goal is just to prove how much smarter you are than others... you'll have a hard time measuring it and not a lot of friends or achievements to show at the end of the day.
