Ask HN: Do you work for an ISP which logs customer traffic?

Just wondering because of the recent UK news about the Investigatory Powers Act.

If so:

  1. How do you log the data?
  2. What data do you log?
  3. Who "is allowed" to access it?
  4. Who "technically can" access it?
  5. What does the law say about it in your jurisdiction?
  6. What safeguards are in place to protect the data?
  7. How do you dispose of the data when it is "out of date"? Do you?
  8. Has any data every been access illegally to your knowledge?
  9. Has your ISP ever been hacked to your knowledge?

Ideally you would name the ISP, but it's understandable if you want to remain anonymous.
