This article also linked to a post about Android disk encryption [0] that I found pretty interesting.
It goes through Apple vs Android encryption implementations, and talks about per-file vs full-disk. Android has only just now implemented per-file, but haven't made it granular enough to handle some very valid use cases and thus it has some pretty big holes. The worst part is fixing it means breaking 3rd party apps.
