What are some irc channels where freelancers are getting hired?

After the recent fiascos of upwork, first them raising fees to 20%, then lots of disgruntled freelancers who were cheated by shady clients, I just couldn't help but think that a lot of freelancers and tech-savvy hirers might have gone the good old route of irc chat rooms.

So, are you aware of any such channels where freelancers are getting hired by prospective clients?
