Ask HN: What is the intnded way 2 participate in nodeknockout or othr hackathns?
Now I havent participated in a hackathon before, so what is the idea, I mean do I need to have learned and created the basic setup of node before and when the hackathon starts, just go ahead and implement my idea on the day?? Or do I need to go in blank and learn on the day by creating and running into problems.
If I go in blank, then I think I might not get a chance to win. But preparing before hand would mean giving it a lot of time which I dont have.
Anyhow what is the intended way to participate anyway, has anyone organized one before. What do you expect people to do, come in with the knowledge or learn on the day..
What I want out of the hackathon is, ofcourse to get a feel for nodejs.
