Ask HN: Methods for Full Stack JavaScript Dev to Make Extra Money?
I'm a mid-level Full Stack JavaScript developer based just outside of London. I work full time in the city for a young tech startup, and while I enjoy my job very much and genuinely believe it will take off one day (making the shares I hold worth something), there is still the problem that my salary compensation only just ties me over month to month after paying rent, travel costs and other monthly expenses.
Initially I thought about starting a company and building a product in my spare time - but the more I've thought about this option, the more I find myself coming up with ideas too risky (i.e hard to monetise, too big to do alone part time).
So with that being said, I'm wondering if the HN community had any suggestions for profitable, while reliable, uses of my spare time to earn some money in the evenings/weekends from my skill set (HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular, Node.JS, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL).
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions :)
