Thanks for replying. I don't disagree with any of your conclusions but I'll reply in that thread with a brief comment in a moment.

There are some people that, if they told me the sky was blue I'd look around for unexplainable chromatic aberrations.

Then use your critical thinking.

I'll repeat the question:

This is ridiculous. Why would they not lie? The US intelligence community appears to lie reflexively about everything. Why would anyone take their words at face value?
